IdealSeek is designed to be a very fast at the expense of being a memory hog. IdealSeek.CGI is a tiny C program that communicates with its content server through shared memory. The content server is always running and loads prebuilt index and content at startup. As of this writing the index is 11mb and the content 14mb.

IdealSeek is powered by a 100mHz Pentium with 48mb of RAM. It is running Apache on Windows 95. IdealSeek can fill its very slow internet connection with no noticeable CPU usage
